For me it was 18, I was on a high from just graduating and everything was new to me. But my life today at 22 is amazing.

Life could be difficult - even hard! Nostalgia, I believe, is one of the fuels of life that keeps us going, makes it all bearable. Reminiscing about the 'good old days' and how things used to be. Chewing the cod of the past.
Looking back, maybe my happiest moments were when I was 4 years. Free, happy and always with my sweet mom. All this before the divorce, before my step mom, before school and all else.
But, at 48, I've come to the conclusion that any time, any age can be joyous and pleasant. It's all in the mind and how we react to issues and things.
Goethe says it nicely: A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.
So, watch what you carry in your heart ...

My life was most consistently and irresponsibly fun when I was in college, so between 17 and 21. In terms of "doing fun things," that was the peak.
My life is more fulfillingly (well, it's a word *now*!) fun now, at 40. The stresses are greater but the laughter is louder, richer, and eerily frequent. In terms of "having fun," this is the peak.

Today and every day for the last nine years, since I met and then, two years later, married my sweet wife.
Before that - it was the year when I was 17, which was my freshman year in college. As you said, everything was new! It was all fun and very exciting.
I prefer now, though, all settled down and happy.

1964-1965 when I was 14 (bd. Sept 1, 1950) and in 8th grade
and in the whirlwind ecstacy that was Beatlemania and all of the other fantastic music that came with it during that time... seeing A HARD DAYS NIGHT and HELP for the first time....
I wouldn't trade a second of that time!!!

im only 14 so i cant say that much yet. but i loved being 13 :) i love 14 too though its going to be the best time of my life for a while. 9th grade after the summer= lots of work even more stress and tons of tests eek! but im ready :)
