You know, I promised myself that I wouldn't get upset when I see another 2010 question on here ...
Oh! There it is ... too late.
I've answered quite a few similar ones before, but the answers to this one annoys me the most.
I am South African.
In May 2004, FIFA awarded South Africa the title:
Hosts for the 2010 Soccer World Cup
~* Madiba Magic *~
Secretly, we were all waiting for it (the s.h.i.t to hit the fan, I mean).
And sure, our elation at the announcement meant a spiral of emotions, and consequently we lost track of time - and now progress is slower than it should be.
!!!TADA!!!
Here it is! (The s.h.i.t has officially hit the fan).
Negative attitudes came from all corners of the earth(incl. our own).
*South Africa will never be ready for 2010.
*2010 visitors are warned to leave wallets at home.
*Theft, rape and murder to cause soccer mayhem.
*The infrastructure won't be able to cope with the volume of 2010.
*Will blacks and whites be able to watch the games together?
1. We will be ready.
2. How are you gonna support yourself in the city without any money?
3. Crime has always, still is, and will always be there.
EVERYWHERE !!!
4. *We have some of the best highways in the world.
*Have you ever heard of bridges collapsing in SA?
*We don't have beef with Middle-Eastern countries.
5. Apartheid was abolished eons ago.
NEWS FLASH: NELSON MANDELA !!!!
(If you didn't know, now you know).
P.S : Political stability has nothing to do with sport. And just for the record, there are plenty of other countries more f.u.c.k.e.d up than we are!
The facts are:
-We do have crime. So what? At least we have the balls to broadcast it on international scale to create public awareness.
-Our economy is dualistic, but our water and electricity is still the best and cheapest in the world. We provide all your first world a.s.s.e.s with minerals that you didn't even know existed.
-Our country is officially the most beautiful on earth, with 4 cosmopolitan cities - all world class. We have so many natural resources, we can't even fathom where to start with the development; they are simply endless.
(1st world countries have nothing left to offer the world, except civil wars and global warming).
Now, with all the political bulls.h.i.t and psychological warfares aside (which, by the way, is not encouraged when it comes to a continent reknowned for genocide and racial segregation) .....
Welcome to The South African 2010 Soccer World Cup

"better than you thought" ???
What did you expect? An open field of sand with 2 sticks at each end?Oh, yes that's right! On my way to picking corn this morning, my donkey went all haywire on my a.s.s, and I had to walk the rest of the way.
Soccer City Stadium:
*Capacity : 94 700
*Inauguration : April 2007
(3 years AHEAD of schedule !!!)
Wembley Stadium:
*Capacity : 90 000
*Inauguration : March 2007
(3 years BEHIND schedule !!!)
STOP telling us we can't, because we CAN.
P.P.S: Oh, and there was definitely hitting of nerves going on.

How many of these stadiums are actually ready for football? 2? 3?
Good thing its a pro-South African site, cause any other site without bias wouldn't share the same positive sediment about the progress.
