I am writing a story that takes place in the present day, and I need a good name for one character. The character is British and a punk. Her mother tried to make her a proper lady, but the character decided she didn't like to be a lady and decided to be a punk. She has dark wavy hair (which she later dyes pink) and is small and slim. In the story, she dies at the age of sixteen when she drowns in the Thames River.
The name has to sound good with the last name "Henderson", since it is her last name, and it has to double up as a name for a baby girl, since the characters brother names his newborn daughter after her to preserve her memory. Thanks.

Maybe you should be a little bit more original then having her dye her hair pink; there is only one Pink.

Iris is the name. Which she changes the R to an S and becomes Isis the Egyptian equivalent to the Queen of goddesses.

I know it might be "overdone" but what if you did something like Josephine, and then she could go by "Jo" when she decides to go punk. Josephine Henderson sounds fine, so does Jo Henderson, and when the new baby comes the brother could name her Josephine. Or you could to the same thing with Samantha and Sam or Sammy.
