The government of India is a union of 28 federal states and 7 union territories with executive, legislative and judicial branches of their own under a Central Government headed by the President but the affairs are administered by the Prime Minister.

The most important aspect of India's Government is it is the worlds largest Democracy. They are also a nation and people who are awakening from a slumber of Nationalism and neglected resources just as China has.

India is the only country that can compete with China in terms of potential and economic growth. As such it will be interesting to see how they progress under democracy rather than Communism.

You can already see some effects by the attitude of their youth where many are interested in sharing the benefits of Economic prosperity with the masses such as improving health and educational facilities.
