And baby girls are born earlier. I know every pregnancy is different, but I was just wondering if you've noticed anything like that? I'm having a boy and I'm hoping that I won't have to be induced... Me and my husband (the father) where both born after our due dates. Thanks.

Nope both my boys were right around theirs. All mine were 40 weeks. Has more to do with your body than their gender.

Also don't let the docs induce you unless you are 42 weeks or have medical issues (high bp), 37-42 weeks is a NORMAL pregnancy and does not need to be rushed. Induction hurts more than natural labor and one intervention tends to lead to another.

There's no standard rule for what intercourse will come past due, all toddlers come while they are competent to. My mum had three women and a million boy, all people had been past due bar my youngest sister who was once a deliberate c-segment because of headaches. I did have a boy who was once a couple of days past due and my little woman was once precipitated (on her due date) the one change in labour "main issue" i located was once that my son was once my first baby so i did not particularly recognise what to do for the period of labour, i additionally had an epidural with him so could not suppose a lot while with my daughter i went traditional so was once plenty extra conscious of what was once occurring. I'm definite you'll be able to be quality, you'll be able to have a midwife who is added dozens if no longer enormous quantities of toddlers already and can recognise precisely what she's doing. take a pal/relative with you as your start companion, they are continually well for ethical aid. Your youngster would come any day now so attempt to chill out and experience those final few weeks earlier than the whole lot alterations.

My little boy and little girl were both born at 38 weeks. It's just the baby. One of my friends just had a little girl and was not dialating at all so they induced her at 39 weeks and I have a friend that is pregnant with a little boy that is 40 weeks 3 days. They won't induce her til 42 weeks. It's up to your little boy. Hope he decides to come out sooner than later!!

That sounds like an old wives tale to me. I was born late, but my brothers I think were a little early. My daughter was born early, but I know several women who had boys several weeks before their due dates. But for you it may be possible, since you and your husband were both born late. Alot of times your pregnancies can be like your own mom's. But honestly, being induced is not bad at all. If your doctor waits until your body is ready (cervix is thin and dilated) then it will be a breeze--especially w/ drugs!! :) Good luck!

Gender has no relation with babies born after of before the due date. However, first-time moms are more likely to give birth after the due date; it doesn't mean that you would have to be induced.

My mom had three kids. My sister, me, and my brother. We were all late but i was the latest. I dont think baby boys come later all the time. It just depends on the pregnancy. My friend, my neighbor, and I were all pregnant at the same time. My friend and I both had girls and they were both late (my daughter was the latest). My neighbor had a boy and he was 5 weeks early. My uncles girlfriend also just had a boy and he was 8 weeks early.

HI,

Congrats. My first son was born on the day he was due. My 3 friends boy gave birth to their sons were early.

As you said, all preggys are different.

As long as baby and you are healthy doesnt matter when he is born.

All the best

Carla

PS when i have this baby in Sept, will let you know outcome!
