I started taking Yaz in Dec. 2006. Since that time, I've experienced a multitude of strange symptoms: anxiety, palpitations, extreme fatigue, lumps in breasts, painful breasts, cystic acne, heartburn, swollen lymph nodes. I connected these symptoms with Yaz, because I never had any problems of this kind before I started taking it. I seem to have something new every day, and it is driving me crazy.

ok, I hate to scare you, but Yaz is not the best thing to take as birth control...and all of your lovely symptoms are exactly why i got off of it. It is right for some people...but it may not be right for you. I suggest talking with your doctor about another form or BC, let it be the Depo shot, or just another type of pill.

But, the FIRST thing you do...see a doctor

OMG. I was really looking forward to starting YAZ. I was going to set up a doctor's appointment to get it. I have heard such good things about it. Now I am not so sure. What more can you tell me about it?

Those don't seem like your average side effects of starting a new medication. Are you sure? Have you told your doctor who prescribed it to you? Have you checked out the website?

I think I will put my appointment on hold for a while, until I find out more about this. I have been wanting to get back on birth control for a while now, and have been looking for a good brand, and I thought YAZ would be the best. Guess I was wrong...Maybe it was just your body reaction to it. I don't know. I guess I'll just talk to my doctor, talk to yours.
