Ok heres my list:

1) Pujols-There is no better hitter in all of baseball.

2) Santana-His stats are so dominant that he can carry your entire pitching staff.

3) Reyes-He will steal over 60 bases, hit over 20 home runs, and get over 200 runs+rbis. What else can you ask for?

4) Soriano-He'll get you 30 steals, and the wind at Wrigley Field will carry his balls alot farther. I'm expecting about 55 homers from the new additon to the Cubs.

5) Ryan Howard-He has not proven himself after only one season of huge numbers, but if he comes through again, the chance of getting those stats is too hard to pass up.

Honorable Mention: Ortiz, Manny, Beltran, Crawford, Guerrero.

1.Pujols- best hitter in the league
2.Soriano- dont underestimate the value of stolen bases. He's the only guy in the league capable of a 40/40 season which equals huge points
3. Santana- best pitcher for a team that has a solid lineup, expect him to rack up the wins
4. A-Rod- expect a typical A-Rod season. MVP numbers in the regular season but nothing but **** in the offseason.
5. Dice K- dont doubt him. I watched the game against the Pirates today and he dominated. 6 and a half innings and only one hit and 7 strikeouts. The gyroball is for real, and he's a great pick for a pitcher if Santana is already taken.

As for Howard and Ortiz, they are good players but not top 5. Howard is a home run machine, but he still isnt as valuable cause he cant steal bases and isnt a very good get on base kind of guy. Ortiz is fantastic, a better pick than Howard, but dont forget about a great DH named Travis Hafner who most people will probably let slip into the late first round.

In my opinion, no pitcher belongs in the top 5. No one argues Pujols being #1, so the rest should go:

2. Reyes - most leadoff hitters hurt your HR and RBI, but not this guy. He'll contribute with 20+ HRs and 80+ RBIs. And he's a SS!

3. Soriano - he's a lock for 40/35. No one else is capable of this, not even Beltran.

4. ARod - the most consistent 3B with guaranteed 35HR/120RBI/15SB.

5. This is a close call between Ortiz and Howard, but I think Ortiz has hit the ceiling, whereas Howard can still improve. I'll go with Howard.

1. Santana - immediately gives you total domination in 4 categories
2. Pujols - the surest bet as a hitter, but doesn't own categories the way Santana does
3. Reyes - power is expected to increase, which in turn will improve on his RBI total, which gives him the potential to possibly surpass Pujols as the best hitter in fantasy baseball
4. Ortiz - rated higher than Utley because of the pure numbers, and rated higher than Howard because Howard will be hard-pressed to duplicate last season
5. Utley - head, shoulders, and half the torso ahead of a very thin position, which puts him ahead of Howard, Beltran, and everybody else

1st Pujols- No one compares
2nd Soriano- contributes all around but weak avg. at 280 but i can live with that when his other stats jump off the page
3rd Santana- Just dominates
4th Reyes- again will contribute all around
5th Carlos Beltran- speed power RBIs bottom line he delivers
6th Ryan Howard-young and he set a high plateau last year which will be hard to follow up

Reyes is on a lot of people's top five lists. He is number 2 overall in a lot of magazines as well.

I'd agree with the possible addition of Joe Mauer, cuz he's awesomely good, and a better average hitter than anyone on that list.
