My question is a little vague, but I'll explain myself:
Have you ever, for example, drafted a team comprised mainly of guys from your favorite team, or guys that came from your alma matter/favorite college team? Something like that, where the actual quality of your team is secondary. Obviously, you wouldn't want to do it in a pay league or one you're trying to be competitive in, but in a league you are in perhaps just for fun, etc.?

yes i have.
in a baseball league i got miguel, orlando, and jolbert cabrera, and carlos lee, guillen, beltran.
in another team that year i tried getting the best players i could whose first names started with J.
in a hockey league I tried getting as many "Scott" players i could.
and this year's hockey league i tried to get as many "Alex" players as i could.

When I first started playin fantasy I did things like that but if Im playin for real I stick to my rankings and draft stratagy.

Yep I've done all Asians, All 49ers, and all warriors.
My Asian team did ok, the rest sucked. But it's all for fun so why not?

why not if its free? its a fun way to root on ur team by having a higher expectation than u would normally hold for them since they are representing ur fantasy team?

yea, last year i drafted the whole astro team except brad lidge
needless to say i ended up dropping about half of them for better players
