It's normal for your daughter to be doing what she is doing.
My son didn't really start crawling till 12 months and he only walked at 14 months (my friends son walked at 16 months)
As for sitting up, well she is sitting up in her car seat and I am guessing you have an exersaucer or something, right? If you do, then she is sitting in her exersaucer.
But in the end of the day it is important to ask her Pediatrician what he makes if the situation and whether or not this is normal. She should be due for a well check-up next month.
Be patient, don't worry and see what happens until then. Good Luck.

I wouldn't worry about it. Babies all develop at their own rate. I had one baby that I baby-sat for that didn't crawl until a few days before her 1st birthday. She is now 2 and is acting like any other 2 year old. My niece is the same age and was crawling at 4 months. They just all do things on their own time instead of when others want them too. My nephew is now 5 months and he is not even rolling over on his own yet. It is odd to watch him and think that at this age his sister was moving and getting into everything. We know that he will get it on his own though.

Well if i were you i would take her to her doc and ask him. it isn't normal. My daughter just turned 10 months old last week and not to brag but, they she is right on track and on exactly the right level she needs to be at. She already is standing up. She crawls faster than i can walk, lol. She is very active. She is standing up holding on to tables and taking her first steps and then falling. She doesn't roll anymore, she is way past that stage. I would talk to your doctor, i dont mean to scare you but just wanted you to know where most children are at her age. All kids are different and all have different time milestones. She could just be really late on it. I heard soem babies skip right over crawling to walking. I would do a lot of tummy time with her on the floor. Let her lay on her belly and she will start moving.

Kids develop at different rates, but I'd think she should be gettin' the crawling goin' soon. I put my son into crawl position (held him up with my hands and let him get the feel for his legs under him, but he would lift his legs back too and much prefered to roll himself to anything he wanted over crawling. However, when he was apparently ready (9ish months), he not only mastered crawling in a few days but started picking himself up on chairs soon after and was shimmying around on 2 feet a just after that. By his first birthday he was taking his first steps on his own.
Do you have a Parents as Teachers program in your area? It is school board sponsored and free....a rep will make visits to your house and give you pointers on helping your childs development and give you updates on what to expect...remember no one child develops the same as another...but its cool to have someone check in and give you input.

I've never had that, it's a bit delayed for her not to be sitting(normally a 6mo task) . The walking thing will come --- does she crawl at all? Even with straight legs?
If you are worried I would talk to your pediatrician. Mom's usually know when something's not right. Although that doesn't mean it's something horrible!
Hugs!

Wow my son is 11 1/2 months and walks everywhere for about 2 months. I would be worried if she's not even sitting yet, that should happen by 6 months, usually before. Have you talked with her Pedi about it?

wow my friends child would do a military crawl at first i thought she was late for not crawling right, but her father thought he was a ganster and people would shoot at the house so I just thought the baby new bullets could kill you and this is how to escape them.someone said it right the baby might go straight into walking , keep strengthening those legs put hard shoes on and help the baby stand, babys are smart ,the baby thinks if you don't crawl why should I,lol the baby is fine help the baby stand, the baby should also be eating some solid foods but soft.

Babies develop at differnt paces. Maybe she's going to skip crawling altogether. If there is any real doubt, talk to her pediatrician at her 1 year check up.
