If you have Nero, and you want to copy a disk all you have to do is tell it you want to copy it and if its not copy protected it will record. When its done recording the disk it will open the tray and tell you to put the blank disk in and it will do the rest.
If you want to make a difrerent kind of a disk, you will have to chose from the menu what kind.

Well, I think you have to have a program on your computer that allows you to first copy the DVD onto your computer, then you remove the DVD, put in a blank DVD and burn the movie onto it.

If you don't have that kind of program, then you can buy it if ya really want to. Some computers when you first put the DVD in it asks what you would like to do and you can click on things such as "watch the movie using a certain program" and sometimes it'll say "copy DVD onto compuer using blah blah blah" lol, or something similar to that.

If you are talking about Non Copy Protected DVD's, then the software that came with the drive will do the job. When you insert your DVD, Make the source & destination drive the same. Your PC will make a Hard Drive Copy, then when you insert a blank DVD, it will burn the disc from the Hard Drive Copy.

You put in the dvd that you want to burn, it reads the information and then you put in a blank dvd into the drive and it burns the information on the dvd. Read the link below, hopefully this will solve your problem

first you'll need a decrypter if you are burning a copyright protected dvd. i suggest dvdfab from dvdidle.com on the homepage scroll down to where it says free stuff download dvdfab decrypter. after it is installed put your dvd in the drive, open dvdfab after a short time of analysing click on start. it will take about 20 minutes to decrypt. once it is done your dvd is on to your hard drive. you will now need burning software which can be kind of spendy but one good free one that isnt just a trial is dvd shrink. go to afterdawn.com and click on the software tab. find dvd shrink(it will probably by on the top of the list as it is very popular) click on it then click on download. after downloaded put in blank dvd. open dvdshrink, click on open files and find dvdfab(probably under drive C/users(your name)/documents/dvdfab/fulldisc/(disc name) click on the discs name then click ok. from there you can change the dvd quality by cutting out parts on the movie by putting in still pictures for either menus or extra's. from there your on your own to play around with it, when your ready to burn click backup on the top, then change quality. by the way windows media player wont let you burn copy protected dvd's even if you decrypt it, that has been the experience of the people i know anyway.

Do you mean movies or regular data. Both require software programs.
Movies= one program to decrypt and one to burn it
Data= regular DVD burning program that should have came on your computer.
