I am thinking about going to the 2007 warped tour this year and i just want to know what it is like there. Are all the bands playing in just one day, or are they seperated into a 2 day period? cuz i heard there is alot of them. And when is the closest event to Indiana, and when is it? Just tell me some things about it, im curious if i should go or not.

i've been to a few past warped tours. even though i go to the one up in SF california, i think all warped tours are similar.
1. there's usually about 40ish bands. yes, all play on the same day. how do they do it? well, there is usually 5 stages, so some bands will play at the same time. there is usually 2 main stages, battle of the band stage, and other small/underground stages. each band plays for about 30 minutes and there is a 15-minute interval between bands for set ups.
2. it goes from 11 in the morning (doors open at 11) to 9ish at night (depends on how long to stay).
3. it's an all age show.
4. the thing that i like about warped is that not only tons of bands are playing, but also there are tents and underground artist that want to promote their band. you can walk around the area and entertain yourself after seeing a few band, like a little break.
5. it's tons of fun. you get to see bands, maybe meet them and get autographs. you can also make friends there. great atmosphere because you'll all have something in common.
quick do's and don'ts in case you're wondering(from experience):
0. DON'T GO ALONE
1. don't wear a skirt
2. don't wear flip-flops no matter how hot it is
3. do not crowd surf unless you want to be "touched"
4. wear tons of sunblock
5. drink lots of water or you might pass out
6. bring money, food there is expensive
7. bring a camera, you'll never know who you might run into
8. have fun

Yes all the bands play on one day, it's like 2-3 seperate stages with a band playing for about 20 mins on each one at the same time. Word of advice make sure you find the schedule right off the bat because when I went 10yrs ago I missed every damn band I went to see, (caught the last 5secs of Bad Religon dammit). Anyway as for the closest one to you, you'd be better off checking the website.

i'm not a great fan of punk song yet I do pay attention to a pair like Pennywise, undesirable faith and Anti Flag. Warped excursion might desire to alter with the cases. i've got been going for a jointly as and that i plan on going this year because of fact there are going to be some outstanding bands enjoying. back interior the day punk became mainstream.
