My periods are fairly regular but just this time around I had my last period after 2 months. We also recently started trying to conceive...I want to know how exactly can I know my most fertile days because I tried to chart my ovulation and used an ovulation predictor almost every day (starting from the 10th day of getting my period up until the 20th day) but it didn't show any LH surge. Is it normal? Is it one of those anovulatory cycles? What are the signs of ovulation - how can you tell?

However, we've been having sex pretty regularly...could I still get pregnant if I know I'm not ovulating or could it be that the ovulation predictors are showing a wrong result?

We have been doing the missionary position and then I prop my legs up, put a pillow and lay there for about 15-20 mins.

What else can I do? Please help!

Well, all I can really say is keep trying! It is possible that your last cycle was a little abnormal. Try the ovulation predictor next month again, this time on all the days that you are not menstruating. It's possible that you have irregular ovulation, and that you ovulate very early or very late in the month. I ovulated very late the month that I got pregnant with this baby, but I never would have known it until they pinpointed exactly how far along I was. Every woman is different, and if you are irregular, every month can be diff. Your position you use, and also propping up your hips afterwards are great ways to help with conception, so just keep up the good work ;)

Every woman ovulates differently. And sometimes you will ovulate at different times or not at all.

I would suggest to buy some ovulation test strips and track your cycle. You can also take your temperature to find a spike and get an average of when you are ovulating and have sex during that time.

My Husband and I tried for over a year to get pregnant, we tracked and tracked with no luck. We finally gave up and got pregnant within 6 months.

Best of luck to you.

No, no no! the main precise estimate with out applying ovulation kits is 14 days previous to the onset of your menstruation (ie at sixteen days into your cycle). additionally, the egg is valid as plenty as 48hrs after ovulation. Sperm must be valid as plenty as each and every week, so be careful. So the main in all possibility time to get pregnant is approximately at 15-sixteen days, least in all possibility around menstruation.

14 days - a normal cycle is 28 days and ovulation normally takes place smack in the middle. You then have 24 hours for the egg to be fertilised. Sperm will stay alive for 3 days so you have 3 days ahead of the "norm" ovulation day

Ovulation is typically preceeded by "fertility mucous"
