The animated deal from '81? Saw it as an adult when it was re-released in theaters back in the 90s. I guess I would've loved it a LOT had I seen it as a teen in the 80s, so though I like the magazine, the movie came across as an adolescent fantasy & more than a little cringe-worthy at times & I was a bit disappointed that the drawings & animation didn't look HALF as detailed as the images in the magazine. But lots of the music rocked!
Love the Cheap Trick tune. & the one by Sammy Hagar.
Wish they'd gotten Rush to do a song. Woulda been perfect timing for it.
The sequel from around 2000 was forgettable.

I thought it kicked azz.......It's a one way ticket to midnight, call it ..heavy metal noise!! Heavy metal noise!!

I liked it , it was all the rage when it first came out. Great animation.
