The death sentence seems almost too kind and too humane these days for criminals but for people that have raped and even killed children.... should they suffer more?

No punishment is too good for child molesters.
No pain no gain!

I do not favor plea bargaining in child molestation cases. After trial, the perpetrator should spend time in prison where he is exposed to the general population which will usually express to him their viewpoint on child molestation.

Then after all appeals are exhausted, I favor using an outdated means of execution -- hanged, drawn and quartered. Gibbeting would be optional.

This is a form of execution used in England from the 13th century until 1790.
http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/189300.html

First, the prisoner was drawn to the place of execution on a hurdle, a type of sledge. (Originally he was merely dragged behind a horse.) Then he was hanged. Cut down while still alive, he was disembowelled and his entrails burned before his eyes. (Some references, such as the Encyclopedia Britannica, say this step, and not dragging behind a horse, is what is meant by "drawn," but actual sentences of execution don't support this view.)

Finally, the condemned was beheaded and his body cut into quarters, one arm or leg to a quarter. How exactly the quartering was to be accomplished was not always specified, but on at least some occasions horses were hitched to each of the victim's limbs and spurred in four directions. An assistant with a sword or cleaver was sometimes assigned to make a starter cut and ease the strain on the animals. The remains were often put on display (gibbeted) as a warning to others.

Unfortunately, the recidivism rate for child molesters is far higher than that of other crimes. It's a ingrained, sick compulsion that these scum cannot control. I agree that a death sentence is too kind- why should they have the luxury of dying when their victims have to live every single day for the rest of their lives trying to deal with what was done to them? I have said this before, and I still believe that EXTREMELY hard time- in a tent city someplace like Death Valley, just enough food for sustenance, and NO radios, books, TV's, gyms, basketball courts, nothing. Maybe they will actually think about how their actions impacted their victim's lives. I know this probably sounds unduly harsh, but my daughter's best friend was sexually molested by her step-father from the time she was 8, until he got her pregnant when she was 13. Nothing is too bad for this animal.

This is the most horrible crime that can be placed against a child. And yes, I agree that death penalty is almost to good for them.

ABC News spoke about the little boy from Georgia, his last name was Berrios, only six. This child had been brutally raped. And found in a garbage bag on the side of the road. At first the officers said they had trouble identifying him. A Homicide Detective said it is the worse
you could imagine. A sexual predator lived two trailers down from this Little Boy and he has been charged with murder and other charges. His mother & father have been charged with first degree Murder, & a family friend had other charges brought against him. This detective said the mother, father were in the room as this child was held down and brutally raped through his anus. Can you imagine the fear of this child? This son, who had raped two other little boys & was on a ten year probation, he never served time for the other two boys. I say a judge needs to step down!

If your state have not passed a law named The "Jessica Marie Lunsford Law" then you must have your congress, senators, your State Attorney General and get this law passed. With this law a predators gets 25 to life on the first devinant act. Please do this for our children!

Vengeance is mine says the Lord, but what is Ceaser's is Ceaser's.
Meaning that God understands that if we want a civilized world, Ceaser will make it happen.
Man must use the law to keep order by the means that is available.
Execution should be swift and legal.
No drama.
End of case.
Move on.
BTW-I think all child abuse cases should have the death penalty, these people do not get better. If they do, it will be only because the law will take their life. They are selfish by nature.

Execution is way too good for child molesters. Child molesters from what i know get the worst treatment in prisons and i think that they should have to rot and suffer in prison. The children that they molested have to suffer their whole lives remembering what the sick bastard did to them. Child molesters do not deserve to die but to suffer as much as their victims

Death is good for them. But there needs to be different ways. Like the father of the raped and murdered daughter gets to shoot the guy or something.

Maybe they should suffer, but that would cost the Taxpayers alot of money. If someone rapes a child in a violent way, off with his/her head.

YES!!!!! They shoud be strapped to a table and passed from cell to cell until they are dead!!!!!!!!
Anyone who violates a childs innocence should die the most painful and shameful death immaginable, no exceptions. This should most definately include preists who betray the trust placed in them by the very same children they abuse.

They should suffer the same fate they inflict on their victims. People who act like animals should be treated like animals. They give up their human rights when they take the rights of someone else.

"Vengence is Mine", says the LORD.

Yes it is good enough. One must obey the laws of the land. That person can harm no more.
Molesters change the lives of not only the victim, but also of the families they belong to. My bro was raped and then continually molested starting at 10-11- for several years- an early age and it harmed his peace of mind and well being for years. Homosexuality, drugs, anger, alcohol, instability, loss of self worth, etc. He at ten talked my parents into changing our phone # to stop it.... they did but it was not unlisted. He was mentally manipulated and did not know how to tell parents and was ashamed.
Our entire family has been affected by this repeated act of an awful person. We all became a victim of this molester. I hold no responsibility on the part of my brother as this was an awful burden to carry and deal with. (Tho he must fight to go forward each day) We were not aware until he was in his mid-thirties. He became a born again Christian which has eased his pain and set him on a path of reconcilliation along with forgiveness and the taking away the burden of guilt and shame. He stepped away from the gay lifestyle and alcohal/drugs - his own decision and certainly by the grace of GOD and he is much happier with who he is and is becoming as a man. I have witnessed a true miracle in the life of my brother. The road is continuous and the pain /consequences never really disappear, although he is happier and we as a family are happier also. There is an element of peace in each of our lives. May JESUS continue to bless my brother and all who seek Him with their pain. HE is victorious.

The 'Jessica Marie Lunsford Law' should be a Federal Law. SOMETHING AS SEVERE AS CHILD MOLESTATION SHOULD BECOME A FEDERAL OFFENSE AS OUR CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF OUR NATION.
ONLY WE THE PEOPLE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN. NOTIFY YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN. LETS PLEASE GET TOUGH ON THIS NOW. IT IS TIME.
