He borrowed money, tricked companys over air rights, bullyed city and state goverments into giving him millions in tax money and millions more in tax breaks.
He has also taken bankruptcy to get out of paying bills and cheated on his first wife.

Regardless of how he received it:
There are a lot of self-made billionaires who borrowed the start up money.
There are a lot of broke children of billionaires who were given the start up money.
It is what he did with the money once he got it that matters.
THAT is how he "got to the top".

By defintion real estate is heavily leveraged. He has had to put his casinos through bankruptcy twice and they were mostly set up with other peoples money. That is the cheapest money to lose ;) He has often failed but his name and position has made him to big to let die. Worth more alive than dead to lenders

Yes he did. In fact, in the early 90's he had nearly $4.5 billion in personal and business debts and come close to filing for bankruptcy.

His daddy got him started and then he became a shrewd business man. You don't have to admire a guy like this because he has run over alot of others in many ways with lawyers ect.

No - essentially he stole it. He is the master of corporate bankruptcy, having done it numerous times. He funnels money into his personal wealth, declares corporate bankruptcy, and screws the people who had investment (i.e. YOU) in the company with the loss.
