Led Zeppelin! It was June 3rd, 1977. Tampa Stadium; Tampa, Florida. The day started off well. The weather was sunny that day, with some humidity, and a light breeze blowing. At least I remembered it that way. My friends and were musicians (nobody famous), who idolized the band. We would spend hours learning their songs, and talking about them. We were in high school at the time. We took a road trip about 4 1/2 hours to get there. Anyhow, we waited all day in the front row. I remember catching a glimpse of a triple-neck white Gibson guitar through the cracks of the plywood barrier late in the afternoon. Finally, after hours of sitting around and talking, Led Zeppelin hit the stage. They managed to get in about three songs before a sudden thunderstorm ruined everything. Afterwards, a terrible riot ensued, and the police were called in. There were beer bottles flying everywhere. That was the last concert I ever went to, and ever will go to.
Things are much too dangerous nowadays. I remember hearing of a Metallica concert about 5 years ago, where a father and son ended up in a fistfight with a bunch of racist roughnecks. The son ended up getting seriously injured. No thanks! I'll stay home, and watch concert DVD's on my home theater system.

Josh Groban in Philly, March 1st. I had wanted tickets for Christmas, but the concert was sold out. Could only get them through an agency or Ebay at about $300 per ticket. So I let it slide. Went on Ebay the morning of the concert. A ticket agency still had some lower level 3rd row, one section from the stage tickets unsold. I got 3 tickets for $199 total. It came to 3 tickets for the price of 2. It was a great deal, great seats & a great concert!

The last show I went to was a local punk show. I believe the bands were; the gravehounds, last rate service, and the reprehensibles.
