You can wear it on either hand. If you wear it on your left, you wear it on your middle finger. If you wear it on the right you can wear it on your ring finger.

Right normally, however I have heard of people choosing the hand that they don't use to write (so the ring doesn't get battered up as much).

As far as I know, what ever hand you prefer, I am not aware of a high school ring hand preferrence,

right. the left hand is reserved for engagment/wedding rings.
