It's becoming so annoying. When I put them in unlike usually they do anything!

When you go to My Computer, and if it lists the CD-ROM drive, if you see a yellow hazard sign you need to fix a registry setting, email me if that is the case. If there is no hazard sign, you probably have a bad or dirty CD drive, first thing to try is a CD lens cleaner, you can pick it up at your local CVS (its just a cd with some brushes on it to clean the lens). If that doesn't work, replace your CD drive, they do go bad.

I had a big problem with that. I'm a photographer so I make hard copies of my stuff. I go back and cant retrieve some of my pictures!!! I have a theory that its because I labeled them with a black shapie. Did you do the same, write on the CD? Well anyways I bought a Lite-on 18x DVD burner for like $60 and havent had problems since.

You might just need to cleanse your lens.
By a cleaning CD at your local music or department store.[$4.00]
Worse case senerio is you bumped or damaged your laser reading have to get it replaced. Depending on model this could cost anywhere from {$40.00-$80.00]
