You probably have a "UT Starcom CDM-7025" phone if it is one of the recent device offerings from USCC. I think you are saying that you have discontinued your subscription to EasyEdge rather than USCC having canceled the EasyEdge service offering (the http://easyedge.uscc.com wesite is still active and accepting orders).

This site indicates that ringtone download is not supported unless you have EasyEdge :
http://www.modtones.com/download/HelpCarrier.do?srvid=3

You could try to send ringtones to the phone via text message from one of the many ringtone providers on the Internet. Just do a Yahoo search for "ringtone". Some of the sites will have a free introduction offer to get a few ringtones sent to your phone via text message. However, the problem will be that most of these are sending a web link to your phone. You have to use your phone's web browser to fetch the ringtone via a web download link. If you don't have a data plan with USCC the you probably won't be able to fetch the ringtone downloads.

Amother alternative is to persuade another subscriber to send you some of their sounds and ring tones. You could have the other person transfer the files (ringtones) via irda or whatever connectivity options the phone has. If the phone is indeed the "UT StarcomCDM-7025" then you may be out of luck for any type of data transfer from another phone since this device is very connectivity
limited ; see "Connectivity" at http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=852&fsm=1 .

Sending via text message might be possible also ; See these instructions for sending a text message with an attached sound :

You can try some of the sites and tools that allow you to create your own ringtones - like http://www.blabtones.com . But the problem there is going to be gtting the ringtone into your phone if you don't have a data service or PC connectivity option on the phone.

The bottom line is that you should probably get a phone with better features, like :
Nokia 6235i / 6236i
Motorola E815 / E816
Nokia 6585
Audiovox CDM-9500 / Toshiba CDM9500

I have US Cellular as well, and I've searched for ways to get ring-tones aside from Easy Edge. I don't believe there is any other way. I'm gonna star this question, because if there is a way, I'd love to know it also.
