Are either serious about border security if offends a few voters? Do either really care about jobs other than to get a few votes? Do the rich pay there share under either party? Do either care about political reform? Do they really live in our America or some gated version of America? We are being played by both.

Plenty of difference. But the main points are:

Republicans love the USA and freedom

Democrats hate the USA and freedom

As has already been said there is no major difference. The lobbyists own our government, it is like a coin operated vending machine. It is very easy for a big business to get a good ROI from a politician, one law can be worth billions!

The only difference is in the who the lobbyists are. But many organizations just support both sides, so they will have control over whoever is put in power "by the people".

But the really scary thing is that the drug companies may own the doctors. It has been widely speculated doctors are paid "incentives" to proscribe medication.

Americans, take back your country!

We all agree that there are many similarities. But I think an important point here is to define a difference between Democratic and Republican politicians versus the PEOPLE who affiliate themselves with either group. My response here is making reference to the PEOPLE, not the corrupt politicians.

First, in all sincerity there are good and truly sincere people in each party. In their heart, they truly believe their view of the world is correct. They both love America and they don't want to do anything that will hurt the good ol' USA. The problem is they both look at America and they see different worlds.

I feel that most Democrats look at government and they attempt to use government to solve our country's problems. With their good heart, they feel that the poor, the lazy, the incarcerated, blood-suckers of society should get advantages that others have worked so hard to achieve. Although many will deny it, they tend to be Socialist, feeling that we are all equal, no matter what invididuals have done to better themselves. Democrats are mostly unhappy because their table of woes will never all be resolved by big government. To a Democrat its more important to ensure minority rights than to ensure equal rights for all citizens.

Republicans usually look at government and are frustrated because politicians continually think of ways to increase taxes, these taxes (like Robin Hood) continually take from the haves and gives to the have-nots. Republicans don't think that minorities deserve additional rights or more rights, they think that everybody should be treated equally. (This logic is blasphemy to the Race-Pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who feel all minorities are owed extra benefits by the government.) I think many Republicans don't look at government as a source of personal income. Republicans try to be positive and look at America's positives instead of dwelling on the many negatives. And, Republicans put an emphasis on National Security because without a strong military, all our rights could be lost.

I know their are many of you who will disagree with me. You say that the Republicans are the political party of Hate because we happen to believe that government should not be in the business of providing income, instead, government should break down barriers that inhibit business development, government should not promote business that is by definition "inferior". I know history, but the time has passed where contractors should be required to do business with minority contractors. Is not America the land of the free?

And, in closing, I know that the Republicans are not all perfect. Yes, many are racist, many are rich, many promote religion too much, but as a whole, Republicans are the doers in this nation while the Democrats are the complainers who always have their hands out wanting additional benefits from government.

Left wing believes the government should take care of every body except the productive people. And the productive people, should take care of the poor, lazy, losers and illegals. The left love big strong government to strong arm the working people by taking all the money they can from them(taxes).
Right believe in studying and working hard and some day their chance will come. They believe they can take care of themselves and resent the government calling themselves 'partners' in their businesses which justifies them robbing the workers money. The right believe we need a strong military to defend our country instead of feeding the non-productive parasites on 'welfare'.
Many young people want to give a lot of money to the poor until they work for a while and try to raise their families. Then they realize the extent of the welfare cancer within our society. Then they become Right wingers.
The left wingers were pinko com/symps in the 60's and now are enviros. They despise the freedoms of the western democracies thru the Bill of Rights and are bent on destroying that in every way possible, especially private property rights. Clinton's are experts on stealing property, especially from the elderly. Big Hollywood money supports the leftists.
The right wingers honor our forefathers and the military and the men who fought for our countries freedoms.
The left wingers are parasitic in using our countries benefits, but refuse to fight for the countries best interests.
Take note of the terrorists using the anti-war positions of the leftists to wage psychological war against us.
The Right says "If the government was in charge of the Sahara desert, in 5 years there would be no sand".
The Right generally believe their is a God or at least some powerful being. The left generally don't. The left believe same sex marriage constitutes a healthy 'family'. the right believe same sex marriage does not constitutes a healthy'family'.The left resents corporations profits. They think corporations should be taxed higher. The Right understand that taxing corporations means higher prices on the goods the manufacturers produce. Hard to find a middle ground here.

Both parties think of their freebies first then the electorate. The democrats enjoy playing the defender of the poor while stuffing their pockets with payoffs from big multi-national corporations. The idea that the Republicans are always for the big wealthy groups is as wrong as the belief that the Democrats are for the poor. By the time politicians get to Washington their first concern has become HOW CAN I GET THE MOST FOR ME AND THE FAMILY.
