a small percentage of abortions dont go right and the baby sometime comes out alive and they put it in a closet to die. I saw that on Oprah. Sometimes the woman dies. Studies show that woman that have abortions develop mental problems and are depressed. Studies show that woman that get abortions are more likely of getting breast cancer. why doesn't the 8th amendment , there shall be no cruel and unusual punishment apply to babies in the womb. Woman say it is their choice on their body, but is the womb part of their body or a babies own personal space. I say the womb was not there before and is not part of a womans organ system but it is infact property of the unborn child. Any organ in your body is something that if you take out you would die if you take out the womb the woman doesn't die the baby does so it is the system that the baby needs to survive on. It belongs to the child. There are many more reasons I can come up with, but my overall opinion is that people are selfish. Hope these are strong points for you to use. Since roe vs. wade it is an estimated 50 million abortions in the US; that does not count the abortions done at secret clinics. Oh here is a science fact I'll throw out. When the sperma nd the egg meet you get your own DNA. Now lets say you could take that out of the woman and they had cloning available would you be able to clone it. yes so the baby does exist at conception.

Start your essay with: I am writing on essay on why a woman should not get an abortion. An abortion is harmful to a woman, the unborn baby, and society. I will point out many facts to back up my claim with science, logic, and a good heart.

I think those are all good.

Let me give you the response from a "Bible Thumper" such as myself.

While the Constitution guarantees the right to life and liberty to every person, the Supereme Court decreed that an unborn child is not a person, and in 1973 abortion was legalized. Since then, there have been millions upon millions of abortions and it is now the most frequently performed "operation" in the U.S.

Just because something is legal, does that make it moral? While the Supreme Court doesn't see an unborn baby as a person, does God?

-"For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139:13).

-"And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him" (Isaiah 49:5).

-"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:5).

-"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, while yet in his mother's womb" (Luke 1:15).

-"But when He who had set me apart, even from my mother's womb, and called me through His grace" (Galatians 1:15).

The Bible makes it clear that an unborn baby is a person who is known by God. Besides the emotional, phychological, and physical complications that are so often connected with abortion, in the eyes of God, it is the murder of an innocent human being.

The truth is, at conception, that single celled person we like to call an "embryo" contains his or her full complement of DNA (everything the full grown adult will be).

I have to agree with the bumper sticker I saw not too long ago: "As a former fetus, I oppose abortion." What if your mother would have had an abortion? What if the mother of Noah, Abraham, or Moses would have had an abortion? What if the mother of Jesus would have had an abortion?

Thesis: There is no place for abortion in modern society.

Para 1: There is no distinction between the act of murder and the act of abortion. (Then follow it up with a few sentences along the lines of: Murder is illegal in all societies. It is generally defined under common law principles as the "unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought." Then cite this definition, preferably with some legal treatise. Then draw comparisons to abortion and this definition of murder.)

Para 2: Not only is abortion unlawful under such terms, but it is also immoral under commonly accepted ethical considerations. (Then follow this up by quoting the 10 commandments or other such nonsense and getting on your right-wing twisted high horse that totally ignores your inconsistent view of the death penalty.)

Para 3: The existence of abortion in society is contrary to public policy. (Then follow this up by explaining the importance of our government encouraging the already feverish global population boom. A sentence or two arguing that there is an undersupply of American orphans, something to the effect that there are plenty of American couples already looking to adopt domestically who have to go outside the country to do so. If you had some cojones you would argue that the legalization of gay marriage would compliment a ban on abortion since same-sex couples are biologically unable to produce together, so they would make excellent potential homes for all the unwanted pregnancies you insist on bringing to term.)

I hope that helps.

Babies a blessing from God, or an accident/mistake to be corrected? I think this sounds good as an opener because it catches your attention....

Reasons against it: babies are physical beings which are alive, without justification its murder, & it encourages premarital sex

Also when writing your essay make sure you discuss the arguments for abortion like rape cases and euthanasia so that you make sure you cover more ground. Good Luck Hope this helps.

If you want a good essay, you need to hit both sides of the issue and keep your bias out of it.

"Pro-Life or Pro-Choice: The American Moral Dilemma."

You have to write your own paragraphs. This is your assignment. But, again, try to keep your bias out of it if you want to write a good essay. Use both sides of the argument.

Very well then, I can't help you.

how does the body of the essay look like, what structure do you have, usually a topic sentence for me ties it all up.
