So I'm a junion in high school, and I know I can't play for a real NCAA team, because i dont meet the academic requirments, so I want to play for a JC. I'm assuming I'll just walk on, but how do I go about doing this? Should i check out the school, talk to the coach, what should I do, how should I do it, and when should I do it?

If you cant get into D1 and go to JC, all hope for D1 is not lost. You can always transfer but, try to get those grades up man. High School is not hard at all. You know this. All it takes is effort to pay attention and study. Seriously, you will regret it if some D1 team says "well, we like you but, your grades arent good enough." Stop hangning out with friends until your studies are done. Your parent might tell you this, and you know what, there right.

try looking into a lower level of football. D-1-AA. or division three. have great programs and lots of their guys get drafted every year. especially the secondary guys and returners.

i played high school football. and was way undersized. 6'1 200 lbs playing DT. and i got calls from D-1-AA schools. and some division 3 schools called and wanted me to play.

there isnt any fake NCAA football. programs are usually smaller and less known. which make people think that they are inferior to the big timer. but dont let that get you down. football at a smaller college. is just as hard as that at a big school.

The internet is your best friend. Look up the schools you're interested in. Nearly all colleges have links on their sites to contact information of the head coach. This is the first place to start. Contact him, tell him your situation, and ask his advice. Best of Luck.

ok , first of all , dont give up on a division 1 school. get a tutor , go to summer classes. do what it takes to turn it around . some division 1 schools can help you with academics. keep pushin foward.
