You can wear what you want and try different things until you find your own persona. You are young, and finding out who you are comes with maturity and that does not happen overnight. However, classmates and people your age are not likely to forget that you went thru the punk thing. So , yes your actions could have repercussions, you may be labeled as weird and it may affect who will want to hang out with you. Those who can see past this , are the true friends, they stick beside you and look at the inner self not what you wear.

I'd say gradually change your look until you aren't a goth/punker. Maybe start by not wearing as much black and doing some other colors you like. If anyone questions you, just say you felt like a change. Some people might even admire your confidence to change your look.

Listen the first thing you need to know about school is that it isn't all that bad letting people know who you really are. What's the worst thing that can happen... confrentation? If confrentation is with words then its good... JUST STAND FIRM!!! if people are being stupidd about it like answering with fists then goody they can get suspended and yo ucan get up to however long your schools suspensions are without those people in school. If people like your friends reject you then just (i know it sounds cliche but listen) they aren't your real friends anyways. the first couple of weeks maybe wierd but stick it out! It will pay back, plus you open your horizons on outlooks on life and even friends with just one change.
Also, you should be able to know that you don't have to change totally! Just be yourself.
Another thing is, is that there is always a Friend out there (I belive) who can always help you. Jesus (aka God) is the best brother, father, friend, best friend that you can always have. Plus, if you start going to a church that is good then you always will have friends thru' church and it will be a bases for you to make more relationships for you!
Middle School is just a few years of your life... and i sucked for me too. Believe you me! but high school gets better and people mature, i think you have matured more then your friends right now. In the real world their aren't any goths/punks, posers, skaters, preps there are just people (some you may not like) but in the real world that's what it is.

In my early teen years I only went punk Fridays and Saturdays. The rest of the week was mostly preppy. You can't leave black forever.

just change. If it helps make it gradual. Im not sure on your exact appearance, but start wearing more of the colours you like more and more each day. this helps people get used to it.

If people treat you differently just because you decide to dress another way then you probably shouldn't be associating with them. My only advice is don't try to fit into some label to please people, just be yourself and don't worry about what others think.

I don't believe in labels. Go for it tho who cares what you wear or what music you listen to, as long as you are true to yourself. Be yourself. ^>^
