Ive heard lots of comparisons between manning & vick, but just to clear it up, who s better and why is he better?

Peyton Manning is not only better than Vick, but probably the best QB in the entire league and may become the best QB to ever play the game.
Micheal Vick is a horrible QB with only a 75.5 career QB rating. He only has records and stats that look good due to his running ability. All his records are rushing records. He has not won a Super Bowl and probably will never even make it to that point or get close enough to get a chance. He throws balls all over the places and blames receivers for dropping the passes when it is his fault for being so inconsistent and a threat on the ground.
You could compare Eli Manning, even Rex Grossman, to Mike Vick, but not Peyton Manning. This is not even a question that takes time to answer.

The ONLY thing Vick has on manning is athletic ability...as far as QB ability, there is no contest, Manning blows Vick out of the water all around. You can argue all you want about Manning having the great receivers, but look, have you EVER stopped to think that the receivers are better because Manning is better? Seriously now, Vick has a good receiving group, and last year had Lelie, Crumpler, Roddy White(a decent WR, yet still unproven because of Vick) and Mike Jenkins(same situation as White). Clearly this is a situation in Atlanta where Vick is simply an inferior player at that position. He'd be one hell of a kick off returner though....

This is not even a fair comparison ... Manning is far beyond Vick in almost every category. Heck, even though Vick outrushed Manning (1039 yds to Peyton's 36), Manning had 4 rushing TDs against Vick's 2 TDs on the ground.
Comparing Vick to Manning is like comparing Ashley Lelie to Marvin Harrison.

I can't believe you even ask this question. Michael Vick isn't even close to as good as Peyton Manning. Vick is so over rated. Yes he has a strong arm, but he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Once you get a clean shot on him his tiny body crumbles and then he is out for 2 or 3 weeks. I just feel bad for the new falcons coach because they just traded the best quarterback they had on their team.

Peyton Manning. He is by far the better quarterback AND football player. He is one of the best in his position, if not the best, playing right now. Plus he has total control of the offense when they're out on the field. What makes him even better is that he's consistently good. Its not random, but game in and game out. He understands what he needs to do for his team to win and he does it, simple as that.
But I will say that Michael Vick is the better athlete. He has loads of natural talent that you rarely find in any athlete. His main problem is that he's not developed enough as a football player or as a quarterback. Right now he plays as an extra running back, that just so happens to throw the ball harder than most other quarterbacks in the NFL.

It is obvious that the only thing Vick is better at is freaking out when rushed and getting yards with his legs.
Other than that, Manning is WAY better. There are about 10 other QBs that are closer than Vick. It is not even close.

Peyton Manning without a doubt, but if Mike Vick had the right Recievers and if he also worked on his accuracy he'd be a pretty good QB, I still think Vick will get into the Pro Football HOF due to his amazing ability to scramble.

Payton bye team comparison he is on a better team with better weapons i am not a Vick fan but if Vick was in the colt s would he be better ? i think so when u have one of the best wide outs to ever play the game in Marvin Harrison to throw to who wouldn't call u better as a quarterback

You really cant even put vick on the same level as Manning its absolutly no comparison, even Eli is better than Vick.
