when citing a text book do u site the author of the text book or do u site the person the author sites?

You cite the textbook, but you say "as cited in. . . " and then do the textbook.

So your sentence might be something like:

According to Lovaas, repetitive behavioral intervention is very beneficial to children who have Autism (Lovaas, as cited in Wadsworth 2003).

I totally just made that up for an example, but that's how it would look. Then for your bibliography, you'd just use the textbook.
