Computers can be funny. Try cleaning the pad and see what happen.

It probably IS the mousepad. You only have to brush it to make the mouse go hay-wire. Sometimes there is a button near the mousepad that disables it when you're not using it. If you don't have one, look for an icon in your task bar that may manage properties for the mouse. If you find one, look through the properties until you find some method to disable the mouse. Another thing you can do, is in your Start Menu, click on "Help and Support" (assuming you have a recent edition of Windows) and in the search box, type in "turn off mouse". I don't know what computer or operating system you have, but you'll probably find a topic that will tell you how to disable your touchpad. I'm sure there is an easy way, such as a hotkey you can press. Good luck.

probably because of fact as you're typing you would be by twist of destiny brushing the touchpad which includes your hand, for this reason moving the cursor to a distinctive element. If its extremely extremely annoying you i advise you purchase a mouse and disable the touchpad. Or in the journey that your laptop has slightly joystick thingy interior the midst of the keyboard (as some do), disable the touchpad and use that to administration the cursor extremely. or perhaps although decrease the sensitivity of your touchpad by using going to its settings.

There should be a button above the mouse pad that you can push to turn it off. If thats not it, check to see if you have "mouse keys" turned on (go to the "mouse" tab in "accesability options" in the control panel, and see if mouse keys are on)

I've noted the same thing when using Word...

The only time it does it is when I have the pointer to the right side of the screen.

As for disabling the mouse pad, go you your Control Panel, pick your mounse/pointers control, and pick disable the touchpad.
