Sanjaya is still in, but Stephanie Edwards is out. I mean, she wasn't my favorite, but come on! Sanjaya should've atleast been in the bottom two tonight in American Idol, this is ridiculous.

Sanjaya is still in partly due to the tween girls and boys voting for him. He is also in because of people and websites devoted to sabotaging American Idol. Howard Stern has campaigned for everyone to vote for Sanjaya so that the worst person wins the show. The website Vote For the Worst.com is also campaigning for folks to vote for Sanjaya. It really is sad that Sanjaya is still a contestant when he can't sing as well as the others. AI needs to stop passing mediocre singers through to finals!!! Maybe they will learn when Sanjaya wins.
P.S. These people who are devoted to sabotaging the show need serious therapy. Who would sit on the phone voting for two hours if they HATE AI so much? If you don't like it...STOP WATCHING!!

I heard that one of the other networks is playing a part in Sanjaya continuing on in American Idol. First, they want the show to fail (so try to keep on a guy who can't sing), second, ABC is planning a new tv series pilot featuring the Geico Caveman. Rumor has it that they have already struck a deal for Sanjaya to star in the sitcom. I'll be sure to watch...

his time will come. as long as the best two or three maybe are still in it ive become used to seeing the more deserving contestant go before the worst ones. when more and more of the contestants get voted off, their fans will start voting for other people so im not stressing about it too much. i really dislike sanjaya though. in my opinion, he is the worst top 12 contestant in all the seasons. and what was with last night??? i thought i was watching a drunk singing bad karaoke at a bar during happy hour! i wanted to cry myself! i bet you that crybaby in the audience got half of sanjaya's votes. ugh.... whatever.

i am so mad that sanjaya is still here and like you said stephanie was'nt a top runner but she still didnt deserve to go over sanjaya. I mean come on he cant sing he really cant and the funny thing is that he knows he cant, and every week he does his goofy i cant believe i am still here face .and even though this upsets me every year this happens. EX: chicken little ( kevin covais), that frank sinatra singing guy and kellie pickler all have been backed by a AI hating website and because of their large following we have to see his goofy face week after week.

Do you realize the people who are pulling for Sanjaya? Howard Stern is encouraging his listeners to vote for Sanjaya. Votefortheworse.com is supporting Sanjaya as well as the tweens.

Well, he's got the backing of votefortheworst, Howard Stern and young girls...I am not at all surprised he's still there. Next week we should start a "vote for everyone BUT Sanjaya" campaign!
If he couldn't go, I think Stephanie going was the right thing. She was getting more and more boring with each performance.

He or she or whatever a Sanjaya is still in to show you that this show is crap. It's nothing to do with talent, just stupid voting by a stupid American public. Come on we elected Bush TWICE, is it really a surprise we'd vote out someone more talented and better suited for the top spot?

I don't care for any of the contestants this season, but those two should NOT have been in the bottom two tonight. Sanjaya and Haley should have. That's how AI has been rollin' for years though. They've always booted out the talented ones way before they should have and kept the sucky ones. Remember Nikki McKibbin, Carmen Rasmusen, Michaela whatever the frig her name was? This season it's Sanjaya. I've come to expect it every season now, so I'm no longer surprised when this crap happens.

That little girl was crying during the entire show, I don't know why everybody keeps thinking she was just crying for Sanjaya. And Sanjaya is still in because the girls all think he's "cute" but it's pointless because he's gay.
