For starters, the answers to timeless questions like those you've posed are spiritual, not intellectual. Second, if we want to know for certain the meaning of, say, "Moby Dick," we'd need to ask the author ... if we could not pose the question directly to Herman Melville, the "best" answer anyone could come up with would be mere speculation. Having said that, allow me to speculate.
There is not ONE answer to anything. Physical laws certainly apply on Earth; but not in space. Should we assume they apply in other galaxies?
Universal Principles like karma ... it feels good "knowing" that when you do a good deed, you'll be rewarded (in this life or in the afterlife). But is it necessarily true? In EVERY instance? I certainly don't believe every good deed is rewarded (or bad deed punished) in this life ... and it seems convenient, then, to say such deeds are rewarded (or punished) in the afterlife.
I often ponder the questions you've asked; as you can see, I've not come up with much. So I'm resigned to continue observing ... wondering ... reflecting. Maybe the real wonder is not that we figure them out; but rather, that we simply ask the questions.
