Not always. I was a bather and I started loving dogs a lot less, though, because I was around so many bad dogs. However, I've noticed the best groomers are those who are breeders/ professional handlers, because they can deal with misbehaved animals better.

This is definately not true. I'm a dog lover and thinking about becoming a groomer. I think dealing with the bad animals will make you appricate your own animal!

WHAT? No it is not true. but i will tell you that there are plenty of groomers out there that don't seem to really like pets.
i worked with 1, and only 1 chick who was abusive. i got her *** out of there! and she was my manager! efff her!
I can assure you that i would NEVER harm an animal no matter how stubborn or horrible the pet may be. i'll send it home before i would ever resort to abuse!!!

I would think that pet lovers would gravitate towards professions where they are dealing with animals. Vet, Vet tech, groomers, handlers, etc.

usually true because you have to hold onto the animal in a way that you may not approve of. my cousin works for a breeder and she grooms them but she loves her dogs. they grab the chinese cresteds by the muzzle when they groom them and i don't think that's a good way for them to do it. our dog is terrified to even be brushed because he was brought up with that kind of grooming. before anyone starts in on us for having a pure bred he was a rescue, my cousin brought him to us because they were going to put him down because they couldn't find a home for him that he wouldn't run away from.
