My niece was born without her abdominal wall closed, so her intestines and part of her stomach were outside her body. Because they were swollen from the amniotic fluid, it was a couple of days before they were able to fit inside. The doctors did something called a "chimney", they wrapped the intestines in moist gauze, put the baby on her back, and then the intestines slowly descended back in. When that was complete she had surgery to close her abdomen. She had to spend seven weeks in NICU, but is now six years old, healthy and happy. The success rate of this procedure is around 95%.

Yes. There is a surgery which can be performed in which they insert a balloon into the child's abdomen to slowly expand the skin. After the skin is expanded the stomach and/or intestines are put back into the abdomen.

I've never heard of the stomach being outside only the intestines and that can be corrected after birth.

Yes, but the baby will require surgery to put the organs back where they belong. This does happen once in a while.
