Why does Gore need to support Obama...or vice versa?

IMHO, Al Gore is riding his wave as a popular, private citizen and Oscar winner. He's not going to endorse any candidate and neither will he announce that he's a candidate -- until all the rest of them have shot themselves in their respective feet. It's a long process with many unknowns and unexpected turns. The next 18 months are going to be very entertaining.

Gore is not going to endorse anyone until after the primaries. It is not because he doesn't like anyone, but rather the DNC has asked all of their members not to. If any come out and endorse a particular candidate now, it will cause other Democrats to come forth and endorse other candidates. This will create an atmosphere that will seem as if the Democrats are in-fighting.

This is not a just a DNC strategy. I don't see any prominent Republicans endorsing candidates either.

I wish Al would run and win this time so that I could say I have a picture of me with the President now that would be a dream come true even though I look like a drowned rat in it, that is a long and good story.

Have you considered that Al Gore could hurt Obama? Yes, he is riding a wave, and has done some very good work for global warming, but I think he would eventually hurt the leading candidate.

Impossible. Al Gore owes the Clintons. If he were to endorse Obama, he'd die under suspicious circumstances.

Why? Barack Obama is under qualified to run the US. He has two years in the Senate. Run something before you become president. The only thing that runs Senators are lobbyists.
