My best friend's brother got her in trouble after he was grounded for a week by telling their dad that she has a Myspace. Then, he said that I told her to get a Myspace. Now, she can't watch TV, go on the computer, she has to do her homework at school, and she can't talk to me. If she does, her brother will tell her dad. I don't know how I can go on without her, or how I can persuade her dad that I'm not a "bad kid" (which I'm not, and my friend isn't either). What am I supposed to do???

I DO have other friends as well, of course, but this girl is one of my best friends. I don't want to let that friendship fall apart because of something like Myspace. I do realize that her father is trying to protect her, but it still seems unreasonable!

The father is just trying to protect is daughter right now! Your suppose to be a certain age on Myspace, and he is just scared for her. Your friend needs to have a talk with her dad, and explain to him that YOU did not make her do nothing! Which in reality, you didn't. He knows this already. Let a little time go by, I am sure things will work out. But in the meantime, it would be wise for you to try and make some other friends. More friends the better!!!!

Don't sneak around, nor encourage her to sneak around to meet you.
If you are friends, you will stay friends a long time. Soon enough you will get older, and be able to talk to her again.
OR, try to set it up where instead of chatting on the computer, (which takes away from her homework, I guess), set it up where you go out to places, like the park on a Saturday afternoon. Then you can talk.
If you do some of these things with her family there, by your good behavior, they will get to know you. Eventually, her nasty brother will be seen as a liar, and they won't listen to what he says (If her parents are basically good people.)
I'm 41 now, and things like that which you describe happened to me too, long ago.
After I turned 18, I made my own decisions.
Good luck. Enjoy your youth.

You're going to have to be tough in this. You're going to have to calmly approach her father and tell him that she didn't do anything wrong and that you didn't tell her to get a myspace. Or you can ask God for help in the situation. He'll always give you an answer.

Hmm... toughie. I would go to this girls dad and just try to convince him that you're not a bad girl, and ask for a second chance. If you do it convincingly enough, he might let you talk to her.
