How much does pepper spray/ mace cost and where can i buy it?

I checked Wal mart and they DO NOT sell it...i only say that cause a lot of people recommend there...i'm looking for it just so i can feel safer when i go walking in the neighborhood and just want a general idea of price...Thank you in advance...

Try an army and navy surplus store, or somewhere that has hunting supplies. Usually gun shows have it too.
I got one that is super strengh (which means its illegal in New York and a couple of other states) its about 3 inches long not including the keychain, and about an inch wide.
Cost about 13 bucks.
I keep it in my car for when I'm in bad neighborhoods, or for when I go walking at night. I've had to deter more wild dogs (3) than people (0) in the last 5 years.

Keep looking in stores that sell knives for pepper spray (it hurts more than Mace). Costs about $6.

Eventually I'm planning on getting a pistol and taking a conceal and carry class, but for now I just need something affordable. I was told that wasp spray is a good weapon to use by a friend of mine, but found out that it is a federal offense to use pesticides in ways not intended for it's use. You can get into serious trouble by using it as a weapon of defense. Apparently you can use deadly force with a gun, but not with pesticides. The government is always making common sense, now ain't it???

You will see a lot of different types of pepper spray on amazon. This is probably one of the best protection to have with you when you walk by yourself a lot. A lot of students I know carry one for protection.
