A lot of morons here tonight. If having an extramarital affair is considered being a sexual offense, as in "sexual offender" then I submit that at least 90% of politicians & 70% of the general public qualify.

Of course.
Clinton pardoned a convicted sex offender. after all, he's an offender himself.
Mel Reynolds.
The Illinois Democrat was convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault with a 16-year-old. President Bill Clinton pardoned him before leaving office.

The real question is: Why don't more people know? That should get ya thinkin!
The pardon wasn't for the sex crimes.
Here's the wikipedia thingy on good old Mel.
On August 22, 1995 he was convicted on 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography. He resigned his seat on October 1, 1995.
Reynolds, who had a wife and a child at the time of the incident, was sentenced to five years in prison and expected to be released in 1998. However, in April 1997, he was convicted on 15 unrelated counts of bank fraud and lying to SEC investigators. These charges resulted in an additional sentence of 78 months in federal prison. Reynolds served all of his first sentence and served forty-two months in prison for the later charges. At that point, U.S. President Bill Clinton commuted the sentence for bank fraud. As a result, Reynolds was released from prison and served the remaining time in a half way house.

I don't think a President would pardon a person that is a sex offender. If he did he would have a big problem.......he would lose my vote.
