state projects?

i have a kid learning about the states! I do not know what she is supposed to have on that state float!
help me!

Your question sure isn't very clear ... but what I think I am getting is that your child is supposed to design a float about states? Well, one could use state flags, state mottos, state birds or state flowers, greatest people from each state (each state has two statues in the capital building in Washington DC) etc.
