Answer the questions on your gut feeling, not exactly what the boss would like to hear. If you get the job on false pretenses, you'll be very unhappy even though your getting a paycheck.

Be ready for the typical questions - answer them straight - they're the given, so don't make it look like you're thinking about it.
1. What's your best attributes?
2. What's your worst attributes?
3. What management style do you like the best?
4. What would you do on your first day if you got this job?

Have a couple questions prepared for the portion of the interview at the end in which they ask for your questions. It makes it looks like your patient for the right type of job.

Couple to ask:
1. Why is the position available?
2. Who is going to train me? Is there a interim/temp period?
3. Who will be my immediate supervisor? (if it's not him, is it possible to talk to that person?)

Hopefully these questions will also show if your future boss is not the devil on Earth. After you accept the position, it's understood that you're no longer looking for a position, so look for the right one the first time.

The interview should be as much a fact-finding mission for both you and your boss, so keep that in the mentality.

Good Luck!

Dress very nicely, preferably a suit and be professional. Shake the interviewers hand and always make eye contact and in teh end thank them for taking time out to meet with you and how they consider you for hte position. Depending on the job if its a retail job they may ask you some questions like "in your last job how did u handle stress" or " if two coworkers did not get along what did u do" and stuff like that. but always answer honestly.

When they are done interviewing you, interview them. It shows that you are looking for a good quality employer and that you are on the ball. I did that with my last few employers. I had fun with it the first time- but I really did need to know that answers. It was fun to watch them fumble for good answers. Most people want to make good employers as much as they want good employees. There is always that 5% though.
And if they dont want to answer questions or if they dont have it together- maybe you should reconsider the postion. :)
Good Luck!

In my humble opinion: You should just answer the questions in the way you think that the interviewer would like them answered, and not necessarily the correct answer. I guess in a way it's all about relative answers to relative questions. I'm not an expert though.

Good luck!

Make eye contact with the interviewer while you are talking. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
