i am using an iud. I have had a tiny bit of blood on my pad(brownish) then next day it went away but the following day it came back but now its gone away again. My periods are usually pretty heavy. bit tired but no more than usual. Whats going on? i'm wasting pads.

sweetie you could be. How long have you had the IUD in? If it was just placed recently then it could be coming from that, also i was reading up on the IUD for myself to take a break for a while from TTC because of a recent surgery and one of the things i read was it can cause a women to not have a period at all after a while of using, or you may just have spotting on and off.So i decided that was not for me, i don't want to have to guess each month like that. you should take a pregnancy test and if it comes out positive you need to have the IUD removed because it also stated that it can cause a miscarriage but the removal of it could also cause this,if it comes out neg then your Dr should check you out, i wish you the best and good luck

How long have you had the IUD? Could it be spotting from having it put in? I would go and se your doctor and get it checked out. It can be dangerous to have an IUD and be pregnant. Good luck!

You do not say if it is time for your period or not...If it is, and all you have had is spotting then you need to take a pregnancy test...It is very possible for you to be pregnant...although the failure rate is low it still exist....and they do need to be changed every 5 years....just do a test to be on the safe side...if positive you need to see a Dr very soon and let them be aware you have an IUD....
