Im thinking of being an X-Ray technician. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how hard the schooling was, if they like doing it, etc...

Whats the best way to be a X-Ray tech? Go to a program at your local hospital? Or just go to school?

School is stressful, but doable. My job can be very hectic, but I like it. I work in a clinic, not a hospital, so that helps.

In my opinion, hospital-based programs give you better training than college-based programs, and are generally less expensive.

You can get more information at ASRT.org and ARRT.org.

(FYI: the correct term is technologist, not technician)

As a medical recruiter, I know many X-Ray techs both limited & ARRT. They seem to love it. Pays OK. Alot of work but most things worth having are alot of work!

I'm a x tech. I studied over at some old dudes house. He took all kinds of pictures of me, he said they were x-ray. He printed me out a real nice certificate on photoshop
