Are you ever embarrassed to read your work aloud to someone you know is going to make fun of you?

If you could change one thing about your book, what would it be?

If you knew your book was awesome, but others thought it was horrible, would you try to conince them that it really is good, or would you think to yourself that it isn't good at all?

please don't ask him/her where they get their ideas/inspirations from..

I think everyone asks that one..

perhaps you can ask them to explain the other side of writting..the business side..perhaps you can ask them to explain how does one get published?...
ask them how long did it take them to write their first novel or how many times did they get rejected..

what advice would they give to someone interested in writting novels?
