When do you start making money off of a franchise restaurant business?

Especially in an expensive city?!!

Some people dont expect to see a return in 2 years.
I suppose it comes down to costs and profit margins.

I franchise online and I have profit in days some times hours.

At least 2 years, but really 5-8, that's any business, basic rule.
