The only REAL way to learn ninjutsu, is going to Togakure Mountain in Japan. But in the states, Dan Insanato, I think thats how you spell his last name, would be a good choice as teacher.

Ninjutsu, ninpo, is still very much alive. Although probably not usually employed as it once was in feudal Japan.
Find a real teacher/school--that will require diligence and discernment. Then, practice wholeheartedly---not only the physical aspects, but most seriously the "energetic" chi/ki facets. The latter are the true path to mastership.
Martial arts are much less about killing then they are about self mastery and spiritual growth, assuming the student has a "clue". Best of luck :))

take karate, and gymnastics, maybe yoga too to help balance. if you want to become a ninja or "trickster" faster then you should take more then one of these classes... probably all that you can because it is very hard to pick up. heres a link of an urban ninja clip http://youtube.com/watch?v=z34JYwNGFtw

well you need a time machine to go back to China's time period of the Ninja, but just like the Samurai.....the ninja is dead...
