I am still on Dial-up (deep in the country:)), but I was told today that I could just bring my computer today to an appointment and just use the wireless internet service FROM THE COMPANY NEXT DOOR.
Is that legal? Is it wrong?
or is it "normal"

Thanks for the answers so far. It seems wrong, but I wasn't sure.

There is no Starbucks around here:) Closest one is about 50 miles away...really:):)
I'll stick with my dial-up.

Right/Wrong? Seems harmless to me. Now most people do not like other to leech off their internet connection. If its open, it may be open for a reason? It's highly probably they will soon a password to prevent unauthorized access. If it were me I would inform the company myself let them know of their flaw, some one else may take advantage of it and cause that company big problems. Do the right thing, let them know. It wont last long anyway.

Truly it is wrong to use any one's wireless internet if you aren't authorized. It would be like using your neighbors unguarded internet. You could find private things. Go to starbucks!

It is wrong, but stupid on their part if they don't have security on the internet.

you cannot get in any trouble for this..if it's an unsecure network, it's their fault

and, as already stated, it IS morally wrong but not your fault
