I believe that you have a very cute cat that makes scary noises once in a while. Maybe he even scratched you with his claws so now you call him "Tiger" and purr back at him.

Not really, as in most places it's agaisnt the law to have one as a pet.
Now, if you have a legal domesticated animal named "Tiger"...that's another story...
