I just started 2 antibiotics for a sinus infection. How long should I use a backup method for? I'm on the pill.

You should use a backup method for at least the rest of your cycle.

After you finish your antibiotics, use a back-up method for 7 days. 7 days tends to be the standard length of back up in birth control.

the manufacturers of most birth control pills will tell you on the inserts, but if you happen to have tossed that when you picked up your pills, generally, one month after you STOP the antibiotics. You can try less if you're feeling lucky.....
