People are poor, and can't afford to go to school. That's one of the main causes as well as people don't pay much attention to school since there are soo many indian farmers (if your talking about village life) they plan on becoming farmers and have this passed on from father to son. They don't care about school becaue they believe their life is sooo simple and where they were born is where they are to live and die and go nowhere else. There is no meaning for education for some people, but i'm not saying all farmers arer stupid_NO. But that's one answer.

Well, that's a lot of questions, I would say that as we are trying to get equality between the sexes they should be treated the same, but that means that they should be paid the same for the same job. They should be treated the same in welfare schemes. They should be treated the same in most situations. Of course, there are times they will not be, men, no matter how equal they want to be, men can always carry more than woman, it's a fact of nature, men are stronger, can't change that. In a relationship the two should be equal, both pay for all parts of living expenses, cooking, cleaning and shopping, or split it up so that it's done equally. Both parties should work, providing there are no children, and, both should contribute to living together. Different story if a child is involved. Alimony depends on which one works, who makes more money, if there are kids. It's not necessary that he pays the alimony. Yes, a man is responsible for protecting a woman, it has nothing to do with equality. A man is stronger than a woman, it's just the nature of the beast. But that's a protection as in going out, so the woman doesn't get mugged, I think it's only right, a man should still be a gentleman. As far as your comments about laws: laws should not be made in favor of women and they should be gender neutral. And beauty should not sway a justice. And of course a man and a woman who commit the same crime should get the same punishment.

2)Girls are neglected to study.

So long as licquer remains to be an important source of revenue to state govt. , so long as education dept. remains corrupt, police remains silent, unorganised labours succumbed to torture and low wages, agricultural labour remains only enlisted but not with substantial benefits or security passed on , no concrete steps taken to stop school drop outs, so long women do not want their girl child to be educated, no NGO takes up this cause at a large scale level, unless you and I want educate atleast one old man or worman, illiteracy level may continue like this adamantly and contribute for some result in every election and civic poll.

Poverty as people are living below poverty line and how will they be able to educate their children.
Govt. though has opened free schools and free meal. schools exist but no teacher and utensils are there but no meal as it is eaten up by the cheaters who even grab the rights of the poor.
