Both countries are progressing well in the last couple of decades. It would be scary to think either one to do even better, not that they can't. However, political change and cultural change are two areas checking their economic growth with more even distribution of wealth.
For China, rid corruption and live by their law, however imperfect.
For India, rid of caste and live by their own law, however imperfect.
For both, check population growth.
The exploited mass would then be able to elevate their way of living. The well-to-do will continue to do well as they have been.

I would tell China to permit a free market to take hold in the countryside.

I wouldn't presume to tell India what to do. India is growing by leaps and bounds, and I predict it is the next world leader.

China, work on population control and human rights issues. These people work like slaves.

India, get your infrastructure in order. You need highways, better airports, etc.
