Vaginal temps are slightly more accurate for people who sleep with their mouths open but really either way is fine as long as you are seeing a clear thermal shift. I also agree with the first poster about checking cervical mucus and position.

either way is fine but what you really want to look at is cervical mucous and positioning cause temps will only tell you, you've already oo'd. Look for eggwhite like consistency in your cm, and your cervix to be high open and soft. that is baby making time.
