It's pretty much necessary.

First off, I would definitely not hire a racist - it's against my principles, and someone like that wouldn't be an asset to any company.

Second, I would fire a racist - I'd be forced to. Racism isn't a big morale-builder. The racist would inevitably make enemies among the staff, and one thing any company or business needs is a cooperative environment.

So yes. I would.

That depends on whether it affects the person's job performance. You wouldn't want a racist dealing with the public, because the attitude would affect customer satisfaction. But if it's something like, say, a machine operator or a computer programmer, where his attitude would not affect his work, I see no reason to make it my business. His opinions are his own unless they affect me financially as his employer.

If they keep their attitude at home , then it's not an issue
But , if they bring it to work , can't have it because the hostile attitude would be a giant negative and both staff and customers are already stressed . . .
Some throwback making things worse , would have to go.
