If it is necessary, and it often isn't, I correct them. If appropriate I ask why they think that, what they know about those people, and what their own nationality is.

Personally, I get a kick out of the fact that some people can't tell what nationality I am. It's a game to me. I've been mistaken for Hawaiian, Samoan/ Pacific Islander, Asian, Puerto Rican, American Indian, Indian, Spanish, Columbian, you name it. I don't mind at all. I just smile and either keep them guessing or just tell them.

Happens to me all the time. I'm from Quebec- a province where people are a little bit too curious about where your from. You simply ignore them. If it's a country that's close to the one that you are from and you wish to clarify it go ahead. Sometimes it's nothing more than just curiosity

I don't care because my nationality should not matter in the least. If someone is to judge me based on that, why should I care what these people think? They are clearly an idiot.

i dont mind..it happened the other day when my black friend thought i was spanish i was like nah im fully chinese but i wouldnt mind being called spanish or anythin else cuz then it would mean that i dont look like the typical asian which is tight
