There is little room for doubt that the Bush Regime places itself above both domestic and international law. A few illustrations include:
1. wiretapping of US citizens without seeking FISA court approval (the FISA court has granted approval to virtually every request it has considered)
2. passing and renewing the Orwellian Patriot Act which seriously violates four of the ten amendments in the Bill of Rights
3. the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a sovereign nation which had not attacked the United States and had posed no imminent threat
4. suspending habeas corpus and posse comitatus
5. defying the Geneva Conventions by arbitrarily arresting, detaining and torturing at least 14,000 alleged "enemy combatants"
6. significant expansion of Executive powers by adding signing statements (which direct the Executive branch to implement laws as the president sees fit rather than as Congress intended) to over 750 laws.

Hold on a second pal, Congress has just written an emergency spending bill for the President's signature to fund the troops that contains many billions of dollars in special interest finacing. They are "buying" republican votes for this ridiculously liberal bloated bill by adding measures to the bill which funds those republican congresspersons pet projects. What does peanut storage have to do with troop funding?? Until congress can send a clean bill to fund the troops and use a realistic troop withdrawl deadline without all the pork to the President's desk, he should continue to veto.
This is how poitics have been played in this country forever. We Americans are quickly tiring of the entire political process. Every one of our politicians need replaced with people willing to do what is right for the country instead of just bowing to their party's big contributors.

I'm a terrorist and I see the American politicians acting like three years old's when it comes to the war. I see that the Infidels want to have a time line when the troops will leave. So I just lay low until the day the Americans leave then I start the bombings 20 fold. I also follow the Americans home to start bombing malls, schools, church's, daycare centers, movie theaters, etc etc. Being a terrorist, knowing when the Americans will leave is the best possible news!
OK I am being facetious but it makes a point, no?

Give me a break. This is like saying that he is witholding bread from the poor, doesn't matter that the bread is being made with a pinch of cow crap. He will not sign any bill that is determined to undermine the troops and lose the war effort, period. The Dems need to stop this insanity and leave the troops out of their politics. Just support the troops and play politics with the President!

On the flip-side, you could say that Congress is withholding money from the troops by not passing a bill that doesn't contain a deadline for withdrawal......No matter which way it goes, troops lose.

and why would that be bushes fault. get the military money with no strings attached, they already approved to go to war, live with what you voted for. Bush won't be helping the troops congress will. And if congress thinks they could run the war better make that into law or leave it alone.

Bush has never, will never, withhold money from the troops. It is the Democrats that are doing it. You need to read up better before you start barking at the moon.

What part of the universe are you living in? I guess you're another one that got mad at your parents for punishing you when you were the one in the wrong. Do you blame the teachers when you kids get in trouble too?

As many times as he wants to. He wants to show people that, yes, he can do whatever the hell he want's because they have been doing everything within their power to keep Americans as dumb and obedient as possible, just so that we won't pay attention, put up a fight or do a damn thing about him. Viva la Revolucion!!!!!! Fight back.
